The inevitable low-energy days...

In a time where we can scroll and find someone that seems to be constantly on the move and always "productive," it can distract us from the reality of low-energy/rest days.
Over the years, I recognized that I am someone who wants to be and stay busy. I always saw busyness = productiveness which has led me to believe that if I don't get everything done on my to-do list, I didn't do enough or am falling behind. But recently, I've started to practice slowing down more and understand that times of rest are not only necessary, but can be more beneficial.

Productivity can look different each day. Some days are meant for rest…even the greatest athletes don’t perform at their highest every game.
Focus on the small things you can accomplish today rather than on an overarching goal.
With that being said, here is a short list of things you can do when the inevitable rest days come around...
Write 3 sentences in your journal
Practice a deep breathing exercise
Walk for 5 minutes
Read 2 pages of a book
10-minute yoga video
Text a friend
Take an everything shower
Start by prioritizing one of these ideas above. It may seem almost too easy, but it creates a space for your mind to refocus on what is important.
And keep this as a reminder that slowing down can still bring you closer to your goals <3
